YOUTH FOOTBALL: Glentoran too strong for Carnmoney
The Glens dominated play in the first half, and went into the break a goal to the good.
The boys from Carnmoney came out stronger in the second half, and showed why they had earned promotion the previous season.

Hide AdGoalkeeper Ben Nicholl again put in a solid performance. He pulled off a stunning double save to keep the score at 1-0.
Scott Wilson was playing in the lone-striker role, but was still causing problems for the East Belfast side.
After he was brought down in the box, the referee awarded a penalty to CFDC.
The penalty was calmly dispatched by Jason McCone to bring the score level at 1-1.

Hide AdJust when it looked like the boys from Carnmoney were getting a foothold in the game, they were undone by two quick goals from the Wee Glens.
Carnmoney battled to get back into the game, but Glentoran held on for a 3-1 win.
Next up for the boys from Carnmoney is another tough away tie against table-toppers Linfield.
