“It was the first time this season we managed to get players out in correct positions, which obviously helped us overall,” said Hamilton. “We always had faith in our methods and kept calm in-house despite so much talk about previous scores.
“People can be obsessed with results and not necessarily look at the big picture.

“I think, to be honest, some fans have been harsh on the team this season, especially when you consider the statistics show our numbers proved better in the draw with Carrick than on Saturday.
“The difference, of course, was we took our chances and got the rub of the green against Ballymena.
“We analyse everything internally and always had confidence our performances would eventually lead to the right results.”
