Physical Annagh United side end Ports winning start
The Annagh line up featured many experienced players, and the Portstewart youngsters found themselves 2-0 down at the break thanks to strikes from Stretton and McCordick.
The second half saw Portstewart pushing forward in search of a goal. Doherty and Turner combined well, and Forgrave made a number of good runs in to the box, however it was the visitors who found the net to increase their lead. McCann nodded past Madison to make it 3-1.

Hide AdAt the other end, a good ball by Doherty found Stewart who grabbed his fourth goal in three games in the 73rd minute.
Substitute Shea Campbell cancelled out the Portstewart goal when he hit home to leave the final score 4-1 to the visitors.
Ports boss Gary Taylor wasn’t too down hearted about the defeat: “In many ways it was men against boys. They are a very experinced side, we are a young side, we have a number of players who played Reserve team football last season, and it is a big step up.”
Portstewart have drawn Bangor in the next round of the League Cup: “We were drawn out as the home team drawn, but the game is in the evening so it will be switched to Bangor. It will be good experience for our boys, we won’t be expecting any upsets.”
