Police cordons surround PSNI station at height of Alert
At the height of the alert late on Thursday (October 10) police cordons closed the Strand Road from Asylum Rd and the Foyle Embankment from the Mandarin Palace as far as Queen’s Quay roundabout.
This morning Army Technical Officers remained at the scene but the cordons had largely been lifted.

Hide AdA spokesperson said: “The security alert in the vicinity of Strand Road police station is still ongoing however the police cordons have been reduced in the area and the only road affected is now Lawrence Hill.
“Residents have been allowed to return to their homes with the exception of Lawrence Hill. ATO remain at the scene. There are no further details at present.”
