The mighty oak is an acorn that held its ground
In times of loneliness draw closer to God,
He fills the spaces of emptiness,
Lift up your head and offer thanks
He is always ready to comfort and bless.
‘Tis so good to know He never forgets us,
How He blesses again and again,
When His presence lights the way ahead
We know the rough road is not in vain.
Well, yesterday’s buried and tomorrow’s unborn,
So, may we make the most of today,
Just to be still and know that He
Is with you each step of the way.
A quiet, patient heart draws many rewards,
Let nothing disturb, distract or confound,
Mindful the mighty oak was once an acorn
Which simply held its ground.
