SLAVERY CONCERN
Sinn Fein councillor Noel McGeown has been approached by members of the public concerned about unprecedented volumes of callers to a house on the Lough Road.
He said residents had suspicions that a brothel was operating in the area.

Cllr McGeown, who sits on both the Craigavon Community Safety Partnership and the District Policing Partnership, urged anyone with information to contact the PSNI.
He said: “I have been unable to confirm these suspicions to date, but the amount of expensive cars coming and going, after parking up for relatively short periods of time, certainly gives grounds for concern.
“If there is illegal activity of the nature suggested occurring in this street then there are good reasons for fearing the involvement of people engaged in human trafficking.

He added: “Human trafficking is the modern version of the slave trade. It is totally abhorrent and all of us have a responsibility for bringing it to an end.”
Police said they were unaware of activity of this nature in the Lough Road area, however, they urged anyone with information or concerns about suspicious or criminal activity to contact them in Lurgan on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously at the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
