NI Water promises action on Island odour
In a statement, Mr Wilson’s office said that over the last year, many Ballystrudder residents had experienced a noxious smell from the sewerage station which could reach as far as Middle Road.
The statement continued: “It would seem that the dosing plant to neutralise odours did not have the capacity to deal with the amount of sewage going through the station and the new plant has now been ordered.

Hide Ad“It is undergoing factory tests and should be installed and work completed by the end of July or the beginning of August.
“Northern Ireland Water have apologised for the inconvenience to residents and hopefully the problem has now been dealt with for good, though we will continue to monitor the situation.”
