McClure praises Coleraine supporters
“Fears were expressed in some quarters in the run up to the match that there was potential for trouble but I was in no doubt that the supporters from Coleraine would excel themselves and honour the good name of a club that has progressed so much in recent years,” he said.
“The near 2,500 people who travelled gave the team fantastic support throughout the match. They were outstanding and conducted themselves magnificently.

Alderman McClure added: “Despite the disappointing result, I felt proud of the team’s achievement in getting to the final and of the way the supporters turned out in large numbers to back them and how they represented the town so well.
“Well done to all and hopefully Coleraine can go one step further and be successful in the Irish Cup.”
Coleraine lifted the trophy following a 1-0 success.
