Lurgan man shouted abuse at the police
Roy Cully (18), of Drumlin Drive, Lurgan, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place on August 21.
The court heard that the defendant obstructed police as they tried to put a woman into the police vehicle at around 1.30 in the morning.

Hide Ad“The defendant was aggressive and shouted abuse to the police.
“He then tried to open the door of the vehicle as it was driving off,” a lawyer for the Prosecution said.
The defendant was given a final warning and then arrested.
A solicitor for the defendant said his client had previous relevant convictions but that he hadn’t taken alcohol since the offence.
District Judge Alan White said, “This is the third time this man has come before the court this year for disorderly behaviour.

Hide Ad“I am willing to give him one opportunity to work with the Probation Service before I look at custody.”
He sentenced Cully to 12 months probation and ordered him to attend an alcohol management programme.
