Locals join 36th Ulster Division centenary parade
On Saturday May 9 brethren, bands and supporters travelled to Belfast to take part in the Unionist Centenary Committee parade to mark the march past of Belfast City Hall by the 36th (Ulster) Division in May 1915.
The review of the 36th took place on Saturday the 8th May 1915 when some 17,000 soldiers paraded through Belfast and past the City Hall before leaving our shores for training in England.
Thousands watched the parade in the city centre and agreed it was a fitting tribute to those who fought and died as part of the 36th Ulster Division during World War One.
