“I thank the folk for signing the petition of concern regarding our local post office, and also thanks to our local councillor Jenny Palmer, Shirley Carrington for all their help with getting signatures and thank you to our MLA Jonathan Craig for sending letters to residents. We hope the issues stated are addressed.”
Councillor Jenny Palmer will now forward the petition of 606 signatures to the Director of Corporate Services to be included with the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council response to the consultation.
“The proposed move to new premises and branch modernisation can be a very positive and enhanced service for the Hilden, Low Road residents and users if the concerns are addressed within the plan.”
