Man cultivated cannabis plants
Craigavon Magistrates Court heard police were carrying out a search of Mark Robert Prigent’s house in Lake Street when the defendant arrived home on August 21 this year.
They found cannabis plants being cultivated.
The defendant told the police he did not supply the drugs to anyone but used them himself for pain relief as he had arthritis.

His solicitor told the court last Friday Prigent was now getting help for drug rehabilitation and pain management from his GP.
District Judge Mervyn Bates said he was concerned about the cultivation of the drugs and ‘it raised the bar’.
He adjourned the case for sentencing for one week for a medical report.
