Charity need new volunteers
They are urging anyone with a few hours to spare to get in touch.
Kim McAfee shop manager said: “Can Can Bazaar is far from your usual charity shop – it is so much more than that. Yes, it generates money for Compass but more importantly, it provides placement opportunities for people with learning disabilities in the local area. This gives people who often have limited social opportunities the chance to work in a retail environment, meeting the public and performing a valuable role within the community. We encourage our trainees to take part in all aspects of running the shop but we need volunteers to support them and to help them build their confidence and self-esteem”
