More acts for Stendhal
The Gorgeous Colours are a four-piece from Dublin that blend countless genres together to create a sound that is very much their own. Their most recent single “It’s OK to Be Normal” - described by one blogger as “quite possibly the best track of the year so far released by an Irish band” - follows the band’s critically-acclaimed The Creatures Down Below EP, which was funded by fans through an online pledge campaign. The video for the title track of the won the Viewer’s Choice Award for best video at the 2010 IMTV awards.
In addition to The Gorgeous Colours, Stendhal Festival is also proud to announce that joining the line-up will also be acoustic soul funk duo Queen Elvis, the beautiful vocals of Lee Rogers, Belfast indie outfit Tin Pot Operation and The Limavady Big Jazz Band

I am J.A.C. (Stephen Roddy) and Ruairi Connolly will both take a break form Furlo duty to show off their own individual song writing talents.
The Poetry side of the festival is also coming together nicely and Stendhal is happy to announce that The Poetry Chicks will be appearing at Poetry corner on August 20. Abby Oliveira and Pamela Brown have been performing together as The Poetry Chicks since 2006. They are based in Derry and are regular performers on the British and Irish poetry scenes, including appearances at Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival and Flatlake Literary Festival.
Since 2009 they have been performing alongside Piano aficionado, Connor Kelly and together they perform uncompromising and original work. They are modern bards with an ancient mission; to rekindle the verve of Spoken Word in their endless search for the truth about the world and about themselves.
Other acts on show at Stendhal Festival of Art this year include Turin Brakes, Andy Irvine, Swanee River, Key of Atlas and many more.
